Warooka Drive serves as a critical north-south local collector road in Smithfield, connecting Morialta Drive to the north and Konanda Road to the south. This local road provides a vital link between Munno Para Shopping City and the Smithfield Interchange, facilitating significant vehicle and pedestrian traffic. To ensure the intersection of Warooka Drive and George McCullum Road operates safely and efficiently, the City of Playford engaged BE Engineering Solutions (BEES) to conduct an operational assessment of existing conditions and propose alternative design solutions.

The Challenge

The Warooka Drive T-intersection faced several challenges requiring expert evaluation and design:

  • Delivered a comprehensive report to the City of Playford, detailing the findings from the existing conditions analysis, SIDRA modelling, and proposed design options.
