The City of Adelaide is committed to creating greener, more liveable streets by increasing tree canopy coverage and introducing sustainable green infrastructure to reduce the urban heat island effect.
The Kroemer’s Crossing Roundabout, constructed in 2020 by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, was designed to improve safety and accessibility at a critical intersection serving the Barossa Valley. Located at the convergence of Barossa Valley Road, Murray Street, Burings Road, Vine Vale Road, and Menge Road, the roundabout enhances access for freight vehicles, local businesses, and tourists traveling to Nuriootpa, Tanunda, Lyndoch, and Gawler.
To support additional improvements, The Barossa Council engaged BE Engineering Solutions (BEES) to conduct an existing conditions Road Safety Audit (RSA) and assess the roundabout’s suitability for proposed landscaping.
